Born Christian Mathis in Detroit MI. It was known and official that he
would be an extraordinary individual. Now called by many, "One of the
hardest working men in show business". The
artist known as "Trick-Trick" has set his mark in the entertainment industry and does not appear
to be slowing down for anything.
In 1995 Trick-Trick was released from the Michigan department of
corrections on 18 mo. Parole with no intentions on returning. His first
day out he recorded his 1st hit titled “Booty Bounce”
the single instantly took to its position as #1 on fm 98 WJLB in Detroit
and likewise on surrounding stations. Under a license agreement on an
Atlanta based record company called Innersound the single was recognized
in the sales of over 400,000. and 30,000 independently. Continuing to
record hits on a small but large independent titled “Click Boom
Records” every single released by the artist (because he ran the
label from A to Z) charted no lower than # 3. (CALL DETROIT AND ASK!).
In this millennium the artist has taken his career to definite higher
heights. In 2000 he was featured in the On The Hush Documentary/Movie “STREET LIFE” which was
rated the # 1 documentary of 2001 and 2002. Also scoring almost the entire
film. In 2002 he was chosen over 42 well known actors to play the role of Big
Boy in the feature film M.V.P . A story of a notorious drug lord on
trial for triple homicide and is represented by Tony Smalls played by Wood
Harris . The movie also stars N’Bushe Wright and Roger Smith . After
completing the filming of M.V.P the artist was immediately offered
the role as Marcus in the Hip Hopera titled “ The Brewster Project”
. Co-starring alongside artists such as Mr. Cheeks, Regina Belle, Farra
(formerly of Destiny’s Child), Paradime and Irish (of 702). The artist has
just completed his directorial debut directing his own video alongside
long time friend and director of several of hip hops most promising
documentaries Dionciel Armstrong. Still accepting scripts and being
offered starring roles in quite a few films, it is clear to see that
Christian Mathis a.k.a. “Trick-Trick” definitely has what it
takes to make it all happen on the microphone, production, stage and the
silver screen. That’s why we call him the Detroit's Bad Guy… Also
